The Peak, standing at some 1180 ft above sea level, the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island...  spectacular panoramic view of the vibrant city, from the extraordinary cityscape to the tranquility of greenery landscape... roof garden of Peak Galleria - stunning vistas over the Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbor, Kowloon peninsula, the outlying islands of Cheung Chau Island, Lamma Island, Lantau Island and some other surrounding ones... too bad we didn't bring along our camera nor a better smartphone; these grainy blurry photos were taken with an old 3GS...  Bank of China Building - Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center with the white wavy rooftop / Victoria Harbor / Kowloon peninsula with the old Kai Tak Airport runway as backdrop... Central District - Two IFC International Finance Center, the tallest beacon on HK Island (front right) / Victoria Harbor / (left) West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade and the ICC tower...  Can you recognize the iconic Lion Rock in the background?... the new Yau Ma Tei typhoon shelter with the breakwater and the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade within the Yau Tsim Mong District - ICC Tower (International Commerce Center), a 118-storey 1588 ft tall commercial skyscraper built in 2010 in West Kowloon, a part of the Union Square project constructed on top of Kowloon Station (MTR-Airport Express Rail)... Hong Kong Cultural Center with the Tsimshatsui Clock Tower in the center of photo...  across the harbor by the the Central harborfront, the almost 200-ft tall ferris wheel 'Hong Kong Observation Wheel' opened in December 2014... The Peak Tower with its stylish architectural wok-like top...  Peak Tower incorporates the upper station of the Peak Tram, the funicular railway transporting passengers up (and down) from Garden Road near the St. John's Cathedral in Central District... Peak Tram Garden Road Lower Terminus - the Peak Tram, one of the world's oldest and most famous funicular railways, the tram rises to about 1300 feet above sea level, so steep that the buildings passing along look like they are leaning a gradient of between 4-27 degrees! seafood dinner at Sam Shing Hui Seafood Market in Tuen Mun - Sam Shing Hui, originally a small fishing village with a typhoon shelter, development plan in 1970s replaced the village with some large housing estates, the closest to the original site being Sam Shing Estate; Sam Shing Temple (a small temple dedicated to the deities of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism hence the name and the area) and a rock showing the original coast before reclamation standing in the small park opposite to housing estate
no one can beat the fish balls and clam sauce dip at Law Fu Kee Congee and Noodle Specialist 羅富記 dinner gathering at the Lo's family... ... everybody looking good! ... busy Regine preparing the delicacies... and the three of us taking a smiley photo before dinner... ...  Tada...  and more to come... ... oh my, so yummy curry duck with pineapple and  lychee! ... and the steamed grouper...  two-thumbs up ****** 10-course private dinner hosted by the Lo's family  (soup not photoed) Let's take a picture before heading out to airport - off to Seoul we go on 6/30 amidst the MERS scare!
